Route 2 is a simple forest route. The only unique thing about it is some ruins near the river that flows through it. Some say legendary pokemon will sometimes meet underneath the ruins in some sort of chamber.

Bistre lives up to Route 3. This town has very little light. Only a few lanterns are sitting around the pokemon center. The sun cannot shine through some strange black veil over the town. But it does hold your second gym.
