The air was much warmer here and the sun was brighter. There was snow, but it didn't feel as cold as other areas in Dianto did. Alaina sighed and twirled around, looking around here. No one but her was around for miles, or so it seemed. It was just her and her two Pokemon. Deciding that she didn't want to be alone, and that she needed to bond with her new Skarmory, she let both Eclipsa and Zaria out. The Cleffa immediately ran to the lake that was almost frozen over to get a drink. Zaria, however, took to the skies, stretching her wings. Alaina leaned her head back and watched the oddly-colored bird fly through the air. It was amazing to her that a creature who was heavier than she was could float through the skies with such grace and ease. She reached into her bag and pulled out her blanket. She laid it on top of the snow and laid down upon it; she didn't mind if it got dirty or wet or whatnot. It had never bothered her before. I wonder if I'll see anyone - or anything - while I'm here... She thought vaguely as she watched the wispy clouds slowly float through the sky. Once she had had her fill of water, Eclipsa bounced over, and sat on the stomach of her trainer. Alaina began stroking her Cleffa much like a person would scratch a cat when they were thinking of something entirely different. Not wanting to miss out on the attention, Zaria dive-bombed into the snow surrounding the comfortable duo, showering them both in mud and, for the most part, snow.
<Come on now, you guys can't seriously plan to have a party and not invite me to it! Puh-lease, I'm the life of any party! You knew that though, right?> She cawed indignantly, though it was fake; it was really just a plea for attention. Alaina chuckled and stroked Zaria's beak, causing her to calm down considerably. Soothed, Zaria was quiet for about two minutes.
<So, I was thinking. Maybe we could get a whole team of Skarmory. We'd be the star team of the year! And then I could be the leader, 'cause of my color, so everyone would know who it was, and they wouldn't have to ask. Ya know? And then, we could beat everyone!>
<Uh, no. Fire would kill all of you in a second.> Eclipsa, apparently, would not stand for being left out of her trainer's 'star team.' She didn't seem to actually be upset; she just wanted to be included. Alaina grinned, eyes shut, as she tried to fall asleep. Both wanted fairness. That was good; having things in common led to friendships. She could tell her Pokemon were having a friendly argument over... Something. She couldn't tell what, but as long as it was friendly, she didn't mind. Perhaps that would lead to a friendship between the two of them; friendships were always important on Pokemon teams.
