The frown that formed on the woman's face made Narash somewhat uncomfortable, unable to grasp what he had said wrong that could have upset her like this. It wasn't until she opened her mouth again to speak that Narash was finally starting to understand what was going on. He was often left clueless when it came to guessing what other people were thinking.
"O...oh. N...no, I...I wasn't t...trying to leave none for other trainers. I...I just... I want to give as many Pokémon as possible a nice home. I...I want to take good care of them, and to show them around the world to meet new friends."
Narash's reasons for wanting many Pokémon were far from greedy. He wasn't even all that interested in them for their fighting capabilities, to him, they were friends. Friends who needed other friends to be with. He hadn't even stopped to think about the fact that the other trainers might have also wanted to adopt Pokémon. But what if they didn't provide them with a good home?

Sarah's expression softened as she listened to the trainer's reasoning. It was heartfelt, yes, but it wasn't responsible. She stood firmly by that; it was hard enough to gain the trust even of a starter Pokemon, sometimes; much less one who had been raised with no intention of being given to another trainer. She nodded and smiled while carefully thinking of the best way in which to proceed.
"Alright... How about this. You can adopt up to two of the Pokemon I owned. If you come back in a week and both of your choices - or one, if you choose not to take a second, which would probably be wise unless you're confident in your abilities - and they've both... They've both... Hm..." She paused, trying to think of a good compromise to what both of them would potentially be happy with. After several seconds of semi-awkward silence, she came to what she thought to be the perfect solution.
"Here's how it'll go down. If you take one Pokemon, and in seven days, you raise it up six levels. If you take two, raise both of them up four levels. And on second thought - if you choose Gull or Trapinch, then raise it four levels - if you take both Gull and Trapinch, raise them both three; give them personality adjustments. Make them trust you. Do all of this, and when you return... Since you seem to really care about Pokemon, I'll give you something special. I promise you, you'll like it. Deal?"

Narash fell silent listening to the story, wondering if he was confident in his skills. Well, the fact that he actually had to -wonder- about it did mean more than enough, but surely he would be able to raise two more Pokémon? Raise them four levels, by next week? That did not sound very difficult, even though he did not know all that much about leveling or fighting. He took out the Pokéball that Swipes was in, before looking back at his backpack where the Shinx was placed away in, both to avoid getting ill from the Seel.
"M...my pokémon like me a lot, s...so I think I can raise two?" His Meowth barely even listened to what he said, and the Shinx was more interested on chewing red stuff than doing as told, but Narash did speak the truth, both of them liked him. The fact that they didn't really listen all too well was besides the point, that was simply because Narash let them have a lot of freedom. Possibly. Maybe. Perhaps. Who knows.
"S...so if I...I take the owl, and the dog, a...and level them, I should come back next week to show them to you?" He was mentioning for the Hoothoot and the Houndour on the note she had shown him. The fact that he didn't even know their names might have been worrying at first, but a knowledge of Pokémon wasn't always required to treat them well. "I...I hope they like the Pokémon food I make. Swipes like it, b...but Spark seems to only eat stuff that is red..."

"T...thanks a lot. I...I'll take very good care of them, I promise! My very best!"
He cradled the two new Pokéballs in his arms, before placing them away, glancing up at the night sky. Wow, it was getting pretty late and it was just about time he got going home. There was no time to stand around here and talk.
"I...I'll be back as soon as I managed to level my pokémon!"
And with that, the excited little trainer hurried away, to raise his new pokémon.
