Mizuki nodded and looked to the pokeball, she hesitated and said, "Pichu come out? Please." she looked at the unmoving ball in her hands and sighed, "Pichu I choose you." The red and white lump started to shiver rock then out popped a pokemon. Without any hesitation Mizuki ran up to the pokemon and beamed at it, hugging wasn't right to do when they first met and Mizuki decided to take it easy. She looked at the little pokemon and memorized it's features. This little girl had bright round orbs for eyes and long diamond shaped ears. It had little patches of red on it's cheeks and a cute black tail. It was in Mizuki's eyes the most beautifulest thing ever. Slowly tears formed in her eyes. She blinked hard and they slid down her cheeks.
The pokemon looked at her carefully and made a small noise, first a small Pi. And then with growing affection for this beloved girl Pichu. And again repeated that little word. Pichu. It was soon saying Pichu over and over. Mizuki smiled with affection, this little girl pokemon was her best friend and even when it would evolve she would keep calling it Pichu because of it's first word, the word that opened the next door into fate.

The professor smiled as he watched the scene unfold infront of him. It was quite like watching a movie. A movie that could make you cry. Somehow this little scene made him remember when he first saw his son and daughter. Those two little moments were the best of his life. That was what made him so happy for this girl. Finally she had one of those moments that he had. He put his hand right onto the top of her head and said, "You two will be great." He took off his hand as he turned back to his desk. It would have been a bit corny to watch, but that was simply the way it was.
"You two are free to leave," he began. "Free to start your new journey. The real start of your life." Professor Willow was all about strange corniness. Even when he didn't try to, like moments like this. He glanced back to the back door, just imagining Roran or Rea. What would it be like to hear their first words? To watch their first steps? Professor Willow nearly cried just thinking about it. His wife would never get to see those things, but he would. He glanced back to the girl. That must be what it is like for her. Pichu's first battle. Pichu's first gym victory. All of those memories that they would share together. A true Kodak moment. Or as mastercard might say...Priceless.

Mizuki without a second thought ran up to Professor Willow and hugged him, he was like that little boy as barley knew him, but he felt like the family she didn't have. She pulled away and then said, "Thank you so much, I love my Pichu." "Come on Pichu." she called and motioned with one hand for him to come on to her shoulder, she didn't think it was very comforting in a little pokeball. She grabbed the paper bag she had absent mindlessly placed on the floor and headed to the door. As she did so she passed the boy, "Oh, I forgot, could you teach me a few things?" He nodded and followed her out the door. She waved one last time to the professor and opened the door. The sunlight blinded her for a few moments and she looked around in dazed, the town was nice and small and faintly familiar, but she didn't want to think about that. Today was the best day of her life and she wanted to keep that going. "Could you teach me how to catch a pokemon?" she asked the boy. He nodded again and motioned for her to follow him into the woods, she did of course because she'd learned to trust him for now.
