Personality:
age: 16
Gender: Female
Path: Coordinator
Personality:
Determined to the point of arrogance, Murasaki often underestimates things like training Pokemon, how long most Routes are, and how smart some people are. Growing up surrounded by her family, and their Pokemon, she thinks she's seen everything she needs to in order to be good at training and caring for the creatures. Asides for her self assurance, Murasaki's often rather vain, priding herself in her complex appearance and how people react to it. This part of her attitude, the often self imposed distance she likes to put between herself and many people, led several boys in Ecruteak to give her affectionate nicknames like " Ice Queen" and several not so nice ones.Description:
For every negative, there's gotta be a positive, right? The positive aspects of Murasaki's personality lay in her reserved patience and refined manners; many find, after the initial lack of warmth Murasaki treats everyone with subsides, she's a very good listener, and tries her hardest to provide useful advice to friends. Her sense of humor may seem non existent at times, but the young Kimono Girl actually can find amusement in some of the simplest puns; she just doesn't show it with laughter.
Standing at roughly five foot six, Murasaki's trim build often finds itself covered in layers of kimono; in fact, she flat out refuses to wear anything but the layers of robes even when she travels. Perhaps it's due to her hard work to earn the title her cousins so often flaunted, but whatever the case may be, Murasaki wears at least three layers of them wherever she may be. Depending on the season, if she's in a contest, or if she gets to town to use her pc often enough, the actual patterns, colors, etc. of her outfit changes. Murasaki's hair, a deep black that shines blue like a Murkrow's feathers, is often done up in a bun with ornate hair sticks and combs, though she sometimes slacks and lets it down.History:
With a pale cream colored face, Murasaki doesn't wear much makeup besides for eyeliner and shadow, though for contests she plans on going full force with her make up case. The slight nose, not quite button like, and a set of full lips often find themselves out done by a pair of golden hazel eyes that rest symmetrically in Murasaki's skull. These eyes are often considered small compared to many of the wide eyed girls commonly seen throughout the world, but Murasaki loves them nonetheless.
What appear to be reed sandals cover Murasaki's soles, although they're actually made of rubber and foam to provide comfort for the road; besides for these sandals, she wears a pair of white tabi that often dirty themselves during her travels. In wintry weather, the fine white cotton outsides are insulated on the insides to prevent frostbite.
Growing up in Ecruteak City, Murasaki spent most of her time watching her cousins perform in the city's famous Dance Theater or hold tea ceremonies in the garden; indeed, the young girl came to idolize the elegance of her cousins early on in life. At the age of ten, instead of leaving on a Pokemon journey, Murasaki became an apprentice at the Theater, studying both the classical dances that made her cousins famous, traditional musics and flower arrangement. In fact, the entire world of the Dance Theater, from the dress to the make up to the hair styling, seemed to etch it's way into Murasaki's very being; only one portion of the entire experience seemed lost on the young girl, and that was her cousins battling. She'd grown to love the Evee evolutions that each of her relatives owned; each was beautifful in it's own unique way, but watching as they jumped about in battle, often hardly dodging the enemies moves while hitting with their own, Murasaki soon found most battles to be predictable, and most of the challengers' Pokemon to rely on brute force.Other:
Murasaki's own love for Pokemon didn't bloom until, one day, a young trainer came to the Theater to challenge the five Kimono Girls, as many called her cousins. Expecting the boy to simply rely on either power houses or type advantages to battle, Murasaki found herself quite stunned by the battle; many of the trainer's Pokemon were native to Johto, yet none had evolved and though he could have had type advantages several times, he pitted similar types against her cousins. Watching the boy command his Pokemon, each so beautiful in battle, Murasaki found herself wanting to train Pokemon like his. Would it be shocking to learn the boy beat each Kimono Girl in combat? After the battle, as her cousins congratulated the victor and prepared to make a quick run to the Pokemon Center, Murasaki quizzed the boy about how he'd developed such a unique style for battle.
" Oh, I'm just a Coordinator, that's all." This reply would spark Murasaki's own desire to become a Coordinator; the desire to train her own Pokemon finally struck. Finishing her apprenticeship, Murasaki was invited to join her cousins as a sixth Kimono Girl, and even offered an Evee. Oddly, to the shock of her family, Murasaki announced her plans to journey to the Dianto Region, where she planned on competing in contests as a Coordinator. It took some time for her parents and cousins to accept, but Murasaki finally received their blessings and left on her own journey, with nothing except a rolling suitcase as high as her waist, half packed with robes...
Murasaki carries a folding fan and a flute, both hidden in her obi; other accessories include a large paper umbrella she always carries. Apparently, the top's been waxed to repel water, and to add to a hazy translucent quality to the design, which is of a circling Dragonair.
