Name: Noah Kata
age: 21
Gender: Male
Path: Trainer
Personality:
age: 21
Gender: Male
Path: Trainer
Personality:
Noah, it could be said, is a complete opposite of his little brother; wise and mature, he has taken it upon himself to protect and nurture his otouto, as he had promised nearly twelve years ago. Noah is of the patient, quiet type, though it seems he is very talkative when he and his brother are alone; he is fiercely protective of his younger brother, and has sworn to tear the throat out of anyone that dares hurt Artemis in any way.Description:
Though he might seem intimidating and unyielding, Noah is of the 'big-brother' sort, and loves his otouto more than anything in the world. Though some think the siblings' affection borders almost on incestuous, Noah is always ready to laugh in the face of this implication; he is not at all embarrassed by the fact that it may seem to others that he and his brother are not brothers at all, but gay lovers claiming to be family.
Noah will defend his brother and beliefs to the death; his training skills aren't what you'd call 'remarkable', but his tactics are often well-worked out. He might come off as harsh toward his Pokemon, but deep down, it's only to strengthen his comrades..
History:
Eye Color:
Noah's eyes are a liquid gold in color, deepening in the outer circle of the iris; the pupils, unlike the normal spherical you'd find in humans, are slitted like a cat's, and work as such.
Hair Color:
Blessed with brilliantly soft purple hair, Noah deems this his best aspect, and the thing he likes most about himself; it reaches to about his shoulders, and is almost always covered by his hood.
Height:
5'11"
Weight:
134 lbs.
Build:
Noah and his brother are both very slender in build, which often belies their true strength. Noah, for one, is slim enough to wear girl's jeans, and does so when he cannot find anything suitable enough.
Noah Kata, like his brother, was born into the clan of a peculiar sect of people one snowy night in midwinter. As typical tradition, the child was not to be given his name until he was old enough to receive his Guardian Angel. The beliefs in this clan were centuries old; at a certain age, a child would be endowed with a vision, in which a single Pokémon came to him, merging with his soul. It was believed that this Guardian would keep safe the child until he or she died. Once the Guardian had merged with the child's soul, he or she began to adapt physical and mental traits from their Guardian. Some people called them Pokemorphs, not understanding the difference between them. Naturally, some of the more extravagant members of the clan would refuse to leave the village due to fear of ostracizing.Other:
The children of the village often bragged to each other about their parents' Guardians, and wondered about their own, which they would eventually meet. Noah, whose father's Guardian was Scyther, and his mother's a Mismagius, naturally expected that his would be something as noble and beautiful as theirs; he was sorely disappointed when he finally met his Guardian in a dream. The plain, dead grass-covered area was shrouded in a fog the color of mustard. As he wandered on, Noah eventually came upon a large, purple creature; its body was round, though marred by craters, from which puffs of discolored gas occasionally escaped. It grinned widely, displaying two fangs as it turned. The skull etched on its body revealed it as a Poison-type, a Koffing, nonetheless! Noah wrinkled his nose in disgust, thinking this surely was a mistake. Pushing past the hovering stinkball, Noah walked on, but the Koffing did not stay behind. As it hovered up behind him, Noah halted, and turned to stare up into the Poison-type's eyes with a look of disbelief.
"You're my Guardian Angel?" the boy asked, revulsion clear in his voice. The Koffing nodded, undaunted by the human's attitude, and hovered closer, to Noah's displeasure. Despite Noah's disappointment, the Koffing hovered forth, becoming transparent, and finally sinking into his body. As the boy gaped at the phenomenon with a grimace on his face, a voice echoed across the area, accompanied by a wind that ruffled his hair.
'As two become one. . .' the voice called softly, causing Noah to bolt slightly.
'. . .the power of will is comparable to none.'
And as the scenery began to fade, Noah was left in the dark, still puzzled over the meaning of those words.
At the age of seven, when Noah was ten, Artemis received his vision; after it was confirmed that Linoone would remain as the boy's Guardian Angel, he was given his name, and accepted as a full member of the clan. Proud of his otouto's accomplishment, Noah vowed that, just as Artemis' Guardian, he would protect his sibling from harm.
Life went on merrily for the next eleven years, and the brothers grew so close it was impossible to separate them; true to his word, Noah continued to defend his brother from everything he thought harmful, even from the few bullies of the village. Due to Artemis' feminine appearance, he often suffered the brunt of their aggression; a particular group of boys consisting of Haunter, Zangoose, Sandslash, and Mightyena morphs made it a daily effort to mold poor Artemis' life into living hell.
Despite this, Noah was always there to help his brother out, and eventually the kids stopped their torture, though they'd insult both brothers from afar, calling them every cruel name imaginable. Once Artemis turned eighteen, he decided to leave for good, and Noah couldn't agree with him more; bidding goodbye to their parents, the brothers left without a word as to their destination, and took ship to Dianto.
