<introduction>
I'm not entirely certain how much Pokéballs will cost, or any of the other items a trainer will need, but let's look at it like this, it can't possibly be all that much. Looking back at the Pokémon games, you always had absurd amounts of money, on top of 99 of each pokéball and potion, pretty much. I can't remember ever being in need of money, and I think the same will count here.
Depending on how many wild Pokémon there are (and partly on how detailed you make your battles, I suppose. (I really enjoy long topics and posts, if you hadn't noticed yet. xD)) you will be using maybe... one Pokéball averaging every 20 posts?
This means you'll be gaining 20*100 = 2000 PB in the time you use one Pokéball, roughly. I couldn't find any Pokéballs for sale, but let's pretend here that they cost... 200 PB?
You will be gaining far more money than you will be spending.

Alright then, back to my suggestion. From my introduction you might have seen, we're going to have money. A lot of it most likely. So my suggestion is something to spend it on, other than a lottery wheel once a day, or pokéballs/potions.
Every game since generation 2 I think has had secret bases. Now I've always found a base in a mountain rather silly, but I do think the general idea is nice. How about a 'Trainer Homes' board in the special areas, with subboards for each trainer who bought a hide-out.
It would provide a good money sink if a home costs you around five thousand PB or something (50 posts), and give people a way to give their character more flavour.
Possible additions would be a 'Pokémon Ranch License' for example, that would allow your hide out to be used as a Ranch. (Instead of being stored at the Pokémon center, they're stored at your own home.)
It could provide with a lot of fun stuff to buy, and I think it would prevent inflation a lot. (Because looking at my DB, I doubt I'll be short on pokéballs or potions anytime soon. xD)
I know that I would be using it for roleplaying flavour. Narash isn't exactly the kind of 'trainer' who is content with having his Pokémon sit in a PC at a center, he would much rather have them all around while he was home. (Although I have yet to figure out if his parents would enjoy that thought.)
